It is very difficult to be critical of a strong, positive community action, such as Athena's skate park. But not siting flaws only increases the chances that other skate parks will have the same defects. The Athena skate park is a mediocre result of good intentions. The minor flaws sited in the photos above aren't the real problem of the Athena skate park; they are minor, a red herring. The problem is the overall layout. It lacks flow and challenge and has a lot of unused space which is expensive. Consulting a professional skate park group would have been simple and cost effective. It would have made justice of the community effort.
