Reedsport, home of the Funnel Tunnel is an incredible 11,000 sq ft facility along the south central Oregon coast. One woman, Twinkie Goorhuis, raised $228,000 over 2 1/2 years for the park. It was not easy. The City Manager and the Mayor of Reedsport were against the skate park and voted so through out the whole process. The park is still not maintained by the City, though it is hearlded across the country as the newest of new new hotness. ; )
Airspeed Skateparks designed and built the park in 4 months. They turned out beautiful details, such as the leopard jersey wall, abundant "green tile" and off color stairs. The design blends fluidly an unprecedented diversity of structures. Street ....................
